چکیده

Abstract Background MicroRNAs (miRNAs, miR) are essential gene expression regulators involved in numerous biological processes and diseases including type 2 diabetes (DM). Purpose We aimed to determine the predictive value of selected circulating miRNAs for cardiovascular all-cause mortality their potential usefulness as biomarkers DM patients. Method Two hundred fifty-two patients with were enrolled study. Among included, 26 (10.3%) died during a median follow-up 71 months (5.9 years). Plasma miR-191 miR-16 expressions assessed by quantitative real-time PCR compared between who survived those died. Results Patients from cardiovascular-related death had significantly higher (p=0.003, p=0.001, respectively). The study population was divided into two subgroups using ROC curve analysis each miRNA, i.e., low or high single miRNAs. Kaplan Meier Cox regression performed survival analysis. High levels associated mortality, when models included one miRNA other covariates: (HR = 4.793, 95% CI: 1.48–15.579; p=0.009) 4.66, 1.48–14.75; p=0.009). Furthermore, clopidogrel whole acetylsalicylic acid groups (i.e., 75 mg +150 mg), subgroup (p=0.010), whereas did not differ (p=0.127). Conclusion To conclude, strong independent predictors T2DM. Moreover, present significant interactions antiplatelet treatment regimens clinical outcomes. Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: Public Institution(s). Investigating the Molecular miRNAs as Biomarkers of Type 2 Diabetes

Introduction: Biomarkers would significantly improve the early detection of the disease and identification of individuals at risk of emerging complications. Diabetes mellitus is a group of diverse and complex metabolic disorders. Both type 1 diabetes (T1D) and type 2 diabetes (T2D) mellitus are associated with distinct alterations in the profile of MicroRNAs (miRNAs) in the blood, which are som...
